New Awakenings Coffee , which offered top grade coffee directly from Ethiopiawas the hit of the day. The fast pace lifestyle of show businesses and coffee that is tasty and provides that jolt is a perfect combination and New Awakenings, based in Newport Beach, California, provided three different types of free samples to the appreciative crowd. Rising stars Romeo Miller, "Dancing with the Stars" alumni, Roshon Fegan, current favs Sofia Milos from CSI:Miami and veterans like Ernie Hudson from the Ghostbusters classic movies.
Ethiopia is known as the "Cradle of Coffee" as this is where coffee was first discovered and cultured over 3000 years ago and is now grown throughout the privileged regions of the world. New Awakenings coffee was founded by Wossene Bowler, an Ethiopian native, who survived cancer a decade ago. Her promise herself that if she recovered she would open a hospital in Ethiopia to care for women and cancer survivors in her home country. She survived and stayed true to her word, and started the Life's Second Chance Foundation charity to raise funds through the sale of the coffee. She also provides this top grade coffee for other charities to raise funds for their own personal causes.
The opportunity with MTV was created with the strategic partnership of New Awakenings and OPIS Newport , a Newport Beach business consultancy that helps for-profit and nonprofits to reach their maximum potential.
